4 Teams to Enthrall Visitors at India's 1st Airshow

Bangalore: The city will play host to a wide range of aircraft as the country’s premier airshow Aero India kicks off at the Yelahanka Air Force Base next Wednesday.

Business deals worth crores are expected to be sealed during the first three days of the five-day event. However, for the common man, there is a lot of fun to be had over the weekend. This year, Aero India promises four aerobatic teams which will take to the skies to provide an exciting display of flying skills.

There are two kinds of passes being sold this year. Access to the visitors’ exhibition area can be gained by paying `2,500 and registering online. According to the organisers, the general public will have access to this area only on the last two days of the show. However, the pass does not permit entry to the air display viewing area.

For people interested in aerobatics, access to the air display viewing area will cost `600 and the timings for the display will be between 1 pm and 5 pm on February 18 and 9 am to 5 pm on other days. However, people holding these passes will not be allowed into other areas.
