Bengaluru: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) on 19 February 2015 handed over the first Su-30MKI fighter aircraft modified for BRAHMOS supersonic cruise missile to BrahMos Aerospace during the second day of Aero India show at Yelahanka, Bengaluru.
T. Suvarna Raju, HAL Chairman handed over the model of Su-30MKI integrated with BRAHMOS missile to Sudhir Mishra, CEO & MD, BrahMos Aerospace at an official ceremony held during the ongoing Aero India 2015.
Air Marshal SBP Sinha AVSM VM, DCAS, Air Marshal Sukhchain Singh AVSM VSM (AOM), K Tamilmani, DS & DG (Aero), S Subhrahmanyan, MD (MiG Complex), VM Chamola Director (HR), M Raja Kannu DG (DGAQA), AK Mishra Director (Finance) and K Naresh Babu MD (Bangalore Complex) were also present during the receiving of aircraft documents from HAL.
Speaking at the ceremony, Sudhir Mishra congratulated HAL for completing the task in a very challenging way and also thanked Indian Air Force for having immense faith and trust on BrahMos Aerospace for undertaking and carrying forward the integration of the supersonic cruise missile on Su-30MKI fighter aircraft.
