Hyderabad: Union Minister for Civil Aviation Ashok Gajapathi Raju has stated that the team of officers would visit Kothagudem in Khammam district to look into the feasibility of laying an airport there, according to the Telangana Government’s Parliamentary Secretary Jalagam Venkat Rao.
In a press release, Mr. Venkat Rao expressed his gratitude and satisfaction over the move. After meeting Mr. Raju, Mr. Venkat Rao, together with the Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao also met Union Minister for Urban Development M. Venkaiah Naidu. Earlier, during the meeting with Mr. Raju, the Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Venkat Rao recalled that the Chief Minister had already written to the Centre on the issue of having an airport in Kothagudem and appraised him of the logistics involved and how it would benefit the region.
