Giving a fillip to the Centre’s flagship ‘Make in India’ campaign, the Tata Group feels that Indian companies have demonstrated their ability to develop and deliver world-class products and services in the Defence and Aerospace sector.
Mukund Rajan, a member of the Group Executive Council at Tata Sons, said: “Tata Advanced Systems has developed the capability to assemble and integrate a complete aircraft, as audited by some of the largest OEMs in the world.
This continues the history of the Tata Group in breaking new ground in manufacturing, evident in the design and indigenous manufacture of the first passenger vehicle, the Tata Indica, and building the first integrated steel plant in Asia.”
