Puducherry: Air India is all set to resume operation of direct flights between Puducherry and Bengaluru from Tuesday. Barring Wednesday, they would operate on all days of the week.
According to sources, the ‘inaugural’ fare has been fixed at `1,241 as a promotional offer, but it is likely to go up after a few days.
The Alliance Air flight, a subsidiary of Air India, will leave Bengaluru at 3.35 pm and reach here at 4.35 pm. The flight from Puducherry will leave at 4.55 pm and reach its destination at 5.55 pm, Rajavelu said.
According to a release, the Air India will deploy an ATR aircraft, which could ferry 48 passengers, on the new route.
