Airport PAPs boycott land allotment process, to meet CM

Navi Mumbai:  No villager turned up on Thursday to accept the award copies for possession of land, which is part of the 22.5% compensation package for airport PAPs. All the 12 villages have boycotted land allotment letter distribution process.

The villagers said that Cidco had promised to hand over 22.5% developed land at Pushpaknagar, which was supposed to be ready with basic amenities like electricity and water connections.

Now the angry villagers have decided to approach the state government directly to resolve their demands.

"We are in no mood to talk to Cidco. The barren land is of no use right now. Cidco had promised to give us developed land. With no facilities in place, we can't accept the award copies. We will now talk to the state government," said Mahendra Patil, a PAP leader.
