Port Blair: Lt Governor, Lt Gen A K Singh (Retd), today visited the Veer Savarkar Airport, Port Blair and inspected the facilities provided to the passengers in the airport. He instructed the CISF to increase the manpower for enhanced security as well as smooth flow of passengers during security check-in. He also inspected the construction site of the new airport terminal and asked the authorities to hasten the foundation and also construction of retaining wall where earth has caved in. He also directed the airport authorities to install ACs in the arrival lounge and increase the length of the luggage belt. The airlines were also asked to improve the condition of buses.
