Airports to Step up MERS Vigil

New Delhi:  As the death toll due to Middle East Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus (MERS) rose to 455, the government has asked the immigration officials to tighten their surveillance and checks on passengers arriving from the Middle East and South Korea.

Travellers arriving from 25 countries, including Iran, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Lebanon, would be thoroughly screened.
