Thiruvananthapuram: Raising grave allegations against Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, including violation of oath of office, the Aranmula Heritage Village Action Council has approached the Governor, seeking to prosecute the chief minister in the Aranmula airport issue. In a complaint before Governor P Sathasivam, the action council alleged that the state government assisted the company in suppressing material facts before the Union Government to obtain necessary clearances from the Centre.In his complaint, action council patron Kummanam Rajasekharan sought to prosecute the chief minister under section 197 of the Criminal Procedural Code, for criminal conspiracy to construct an airport at Aranmula and obtain central clearances for the same.
He also alleged that the chief minister, along with many others, including Inkel CMD K Balakrishnan and the officials of KGS Aranmula International Airport Ltd, had conspired and pressurised government officials to violate laws.
