Ahmedabad: With monsoon set to arrive in the city this weekend, Airports Authority of India (AAI) along with Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) will roll out awareness campaign through sms to prevent bird-hit incidents at city airport by advising people to keep cleanliness in the areas surrounding the airport.
It has been seen that in the rainy season with water logging and garbage in open, birds tend to come around the areas at airport and pose severe threat to flights.
Airport environment management committee (AEMC) which is responsible for bird management at the airport recently held its quarterly meeting where several measures to curb hit were discussed.
