Mumbai: Following the death of one Central Industrial Security Force jawan at Kozhikode Airport last Wednesday, the CISF held a one-day sensitization programme at Mumbai Airport on Friday. This sensitization programme was lead by the DIG at the Mumbai Airport. The programme had 3700 staffers participating in it. This programme that took place on June 12 morning had the staffers working as a unit. The force that has seen the infusion of new staff after the officers were transferred from the city airport was guided about the ethics of their jobs. Speaking to mid-day an airport official said, “As of now the seniors from the headquarters have been flying to the Kozhikode airport and simultaneously visiting Mumbai airport too. Rather than being transit passenger their main aim was to even look at the current situations and issues in the Mumbai Airport.” He added, “These visits have been on almost every day since the Kozhikode incident took place.” Another officer close to the development said, “There have been few officers those have been internally transferred from Calicut to airports like Bangalore in order to be assured that no further clashes are seen. There have been no transfers of the staff from Calicut to Mumbai airport.”
