Coimbatore: A Jet Airways flight from Bangalore which was supposed to fly to Chennai via Coimbatore on Wednesday night, was delayed by more than 11 hours because the flying hours of the crew had already reached its maximum limit. The flight finally took off from Coimbatore at 8.35am on Thursday.
Most passengers on the Jet Airways aircraft flying from Mumbai to Coimbatore and Chennai and from Coimbatore to Chennai reached their destination 11 hours late on Thursday morning.
The flight, scheduled to land at Coimbatore at 8.30 pm, was scheduled to again take off at 9.20 pm and reach Chennai at 10.45 pm. "But the flight reached Coimbatore only at midnight," said director-in-charge of the Coimbatore International Airport, Mahalingam.
