chennai: Observing that the necessary technology to locate the missing Coast Guard aircraft CG 791 was not available in the country, the wife of one of the missing officers urged the Centre and the Prime Minister’s Office to seek international support in the ongoing search and rescue operations off the Karaikal coast.
Speaking to The Hindu , Amruta Soni, wife of Deputy Commandant Manoj Kumar Soni, said, “The Coast Guard, the Navy and the Air Force have taken all possible efforts. But, I feel that we don’t have the necessary technology to locate the aircraft. We must seek international support so that the aircraft can be found.”
