Nashik: It turned to be a story of much ado about nothing when the publicised aircraft that was supposed to link Nashik to Pune failed to reach Nashik and pick up passengers on Monday, June 15.
The air service to and from Nashik has been landing into trouble time and again. This time the delay was attributed to the bad weather and heavy rainfall in Mumbai.
The maiden air service which was eagerly awaited was to start from the Ojhar airport and was being operated by the Maritime Energy Heli Air Services Pvt Ltd (MEHAIR).
A nine seater amphibian Cessna 208A aircraft was to carry passengers from the Ojhar airport in Nashik to Lohegaon airport in Pune in the morning. The maiden flight had received a good response and the service received advance bookings for the flight as well.
