Goa Airport runway work on schedule, 24x7 operations from June 16

Panaji: The ongoing repairs of the main runway of the Goa International Airport at Dabolim is proceeding according to schedule and the runway will be open for round-the-clock operations from June 16, airport director Srinivasa Rao said.

Flight schedules will return to the timings being followed before the re-carpeting work was taken up by the Indian Navy. Presently, flight operations, both for the Indian Navy and for commercial airlines, are confined to between 5am and 1pm.

From June 16 onwards, the Indian Navy will utilize the runway during the morning from 8.30 am to 1pm for flight training and routine flying operations. International and domestic airlines will schedule arrival and departure operations during the remaining hours.
