After several representations from MLAs and MPs, the decision on extending the MMTS to the Shamshabad Airport still hangs in balance. Railway officials say that the revised proposal is with GMR and it is up to the State Government to pursue the matter with GMR officials.
It may be noted that a few months back, MPs submitted a proposal for works to be taken up in several areas and also pitched for the extension of MMTS to the airport. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao recently said that the issue would be taken up with GMR officials.
