UTX,has been selected by Air India Ltd for a long-term APS5000 auxiliary power unit (APU) support deal for its fleet of aircrafts.
The APU provides back-up secondary power for starting of the main engine, cabin air conditioning and electric power for aircraft on ground and during in-flight operation. It offers low noise and lower emissions and further strengthens Pratt & Whitney's business relationship with Air India.
