CALC has delivered a second new A320 aircraft to Air India under a 12-year operating lease agreement between CALC and Air India for five aircraft, which forms part of the aviation lessor’s efforts to expand outside China, along with recent lease agreements secured with Air Macau and Pegasus Airlines.
The latest delivery was made at the facilities of Airbus in Hamburg, Germany in July, and the company has said it will deliver the remaining aircraft to Air India by the end of 2015.
The Air India order is being financed via the support of the Export Credit Agencies (ECAs), backed by a guarantee issued by UK Export Finance.
