Cargo movement on hold as Jet Airways staff protest at Mumbai airport

Cargo movement at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) has taken a hit since Monday night as Jet Airways cargo staff is protesting against the company’s alleged ‘unfair trade practices’. Hundreds of cargo employees are stationed outside the cargo section at the domestic terminal, led by the All India Jet Airways Officers and Employees Union. Protestors allege that the company has not given them any raises since two years and have ‘tricked’ new employees into forming another union to dilute the simmering discontent.
