E-mail exchanges show Fadnavis had held up Air India flight for 57 mins, say reports

After Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis denied that he delayed a flight to New York, television reports suggest that there are email exchanges that prove the Air India flight was held up for the CM.
CNN-IBN reports that e-mails accessed by the channel show that Air India flight AI 191 was delayed by 57 minutes because one of Fadnavis' aides had forgotten his passport.
According to the CNN-IBN reports, the Air India duty managers sent the e-mail to the CMD and Executive Director.
Fadnavis found himself in the eye of a storm when reports suggested that he delayed the flight. However, the Chief Minister had said, "The allegation that I forced delay of the flight to Newark is false and misleading."
Air India too had said in a statement, ‪"The flight, AI 191 of 29th June, 2015 was delayed by a total of 57 minutes. The delay was partly due to technical/operational reasons, and also the ATC."
However, the email tells another story, and is likely to cause more trouble for Fadnavis and the BJP in Maharashtra.
