Mumbai: GVK-controlled Mumbai International Airport (MIAL) has appointed Sanjeev Taneja, former CFO of Dubai's Damac Properties, as its chief financial officer. Taneja succeeds Vinod Hiran who has now joined Wadia Group-controlled Bombay Dyeing as its CFO.
He joins at a time when GVK is said to be trying hard to raise money from its airports business, either through an initial public offer or a strategic sale, according to sources.When contacted, Taneja confirmed his appointment but didn't elaborate on his role, saying he is "just a week old into the new job."
