Chandigarh: A bomb threat drill was conducted at the Chandigarh Airport on Monday to check the level of preparedness of different agencies, including police, health, fire department and internal agencies such as Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) working at the airport. The entire process lasted for around 45 minutes. Around 3.55pm, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) control room received a call intimating them of a bomb placed in the terminal building. All the responding agencies concerned were then alerted by the CISF control room about the threat. The message was passed to the Bomb Threat Assessment Committee and Chandigarh police control room.
