Mumbai : The state government has decided to expand Juhu Airport to accommodate passenger services at the airport.
Finance minister Sudhir Mungantiwar said on Monday that the government plans to exploit all the 28 airports across the state for public use, including private ones.
“The transport system of the state should be better. So, we are thinking about water transport as well as air transport. We are trying to use the small airports for public transportation. Currently, these airports are being used for private purposes,” he said.
