Kochi: A 71-year-old woman suffered injuries after she accidentally fell from an escalator at the International departure hall of the Cochin International Airport here on Sunday.
Officials said Mariya Joseph, a native of Vazhakkulam in Thodupuzha was due to board an Emirates flight to Dubai and proceeding to the security hall after checking-in when the incident happened. “The woman, accompanied by her son, was about to fly to the U.S via Dubai. She was on the escalator to the first floor when she fell’’, they said.
