Speeding airport buggy hits, injures passenger at T2

Mumbai: Florence Langkan, 38, was injured after being knocked down by a buggy - used to ferry passengers - that was allegedly being driven rashly at the integrated terminal, T2, of Mumbai airport on Wednesday morning. The incident occurred around 2.30 am when Langkan and others who had arrived by Emirates flight EK-500 from Dubai were walking towards the immigration counters.

Fellow passenger Greta Lewis told Mirror: "We were all walking when we first heard a honk [of the buggy] and this lady fell next to me. While we all rushed to help the victim, the buggy driver sat watching."

Lewis, who works in the movie industry, said most passengers had been on connecting flights and were tired. "The ladywas screaming in pain," said Lewis, adding that her family of five, including two wheelchair-using senior citizens, was lucky to not have been injured.
