The Kozhikode Airport Samyukhta Action Council (KASAC) will stage a fast here on September 8 in protest against what they called a high-levelconspiracy to shut down the Calicut International Airport, near here.
Talking to reporters herem today, Action Council Chairman P Gangadharan and HonorarySecretary Abdulla Maliyekkal said authorities owed an explanation for 'scuttling' the offer by Emirates and Saudi Airlines to introduce small aircraft from the airport.
They also demanded a probe into allegedly putting the letter offering the service in cold storage by Peter Abraham.
