DGCA clearance to be sought for night landing

Mysuru: The Mysuru airport is fit in all respects for night landing of flights and all it needs is a clearance from the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA).

Revealing this, Director of Mysuru Airport M.K. Singh told The Hindu that the Airport Authority of India (AAI) has given a report stating that the Mysuru Airport had infrastructure to facilitate night operation of flights. “Hence, I am going to make all efforts to get clearance from the appropriate authorities in the DGCA so that more flights can operate to Mysuru. Once we secure clearance, we can strive for evening flights, which will pave way for better connectivity to the city,” he said.
