Bhubaneswar: After the commencement of international air operations, two new no-frills operators FLYeasy and Air Vistara are going to start domestic air operations from Biju Patnaik International Airport of Odisha from October this year.
“Both airlines have submitted their flight schedules and have obtained necessary approvals and clearances. While Air Vistara has received approval for New Delhi flights, FLYeasy will connect to Bangalore. Vistara will start its operation on October 8 and FLYeasy will commence its operation on October 15,” said Director of Biju Patnaik International Airport Sharad Kumar.
“The winter flight schedules of these operators have also been submitted to the airport authorities. Preparations are in final stages and the companies have started recruiting ground staff and crew members. We have allowed them to open ticket counters, check-in counters, information desk etc at the airport terminal,” he added.
