Government Not Considering Changing Name of Any Airport: Sharma

New Delhi:  Government today said it is not considering changing the name of any of the airports in the country including the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi even as it has received some proposals in this regard.

"It (changing names of some of the airports in the country) is not under our consideration," Minister of State for Civil Aviation Mahesh Sharma told PTI here tonight.

Sharma's comments came in the backdrop of media reports that the Civil Aviation ministry was examining proposals from some BJP and RSS leaders to rename some of the airports including Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport.
