Coimbatore: Coimbatore airport has good connectivity to Chennai and Mumbai international airports, but there can be more flights to New Delhi. There are only two or three direct flights from the city to the capital.
The Airport Director of Coimbatore International Airport, G. Prakash Reddy, said that the timings of these flights were not convenient for those who want to travel to Delhi for a day’s work and return the same day.
“Now passengers have to either spend an extra day in Delhi or take a connecting flight to return the same day,” the airport director said.
