Bengaluru: A Bengaluru air traveller has alleged that Rs 30 lakh worth gold and diamond jewels have been stolen from her baggage when she was travelling to Kochi. She suspects that the theft may have been committed during baggage check at the Kempegowda International Airport.
Fraser Town resident Nirmala James lodged a complaint with KIA police about the incident that happened on August 28. "On reaching Kochi, I checked my bags and did not find the jewellery. I complained to Kochi airport officials and they also conducted a sea8rch in vain," Nirmala said. "I remember keeping the jewels in my bag while leaving home. I called up my daughter and she too searc8hed our home here, but couldn't find anything."
