Honeywell Aerospace electric taxiing system lauded

Geneva – Honeywell Aerospace's SmartPath Ground-Based Augmentation System and EGTS electric taxiing system technologies have been recognized by the Air Transport Action Group as solutions that can help support the aviation industry's goal to reduce CO2 emissions from 2005 in half by 2050. The two technologies were included in the Aviation Climate Solutions report, a collection of 100 examples of how the aviation industry is collaborating to cut carbon dioxide emissions and help reduce its impact on climate change, released at the Global Sustainable Aviation Summit in Geneva, Switzerland.

"We are committed to helping the aviation industry reduce its effect on climate change and are continuing to develop innovative technologies that pave the way for cleaner air travel," said Aileen M. McDowall, vice president, Air Transport and Regional, Europe, Middle East, Africa and India, Honeywell Aerospace. "EGTS electric taxiing system and SmartPath Ground-Based Augmentation System (GBAS) are two game-changing technologies that can help the industry reduce emissions and improve air traffic management."
