Kochi: A Parliamentary Standing Committee is learnt to have expressed its displeasure over the delay in filing a report on the violence at Karipur airport in Kozhikode that led to the death of a CISF jawan in June.
In its sitting at Cochin International Airport Limited on Thursday, the Parliamentary Standing committee on Transport, Tourism and Culture has asked the Airport Authority of India (AAI) officials to inform it in a week's time the status of the report being prepared on the violence, sources said.
The visiting eight-member committee expressed its displeasure over the delay in filing report during its sitting with top officials of the AAI, CISF and Bureau of Civil Aviation Security, the sources said.
