Missing manual set to delay Air Odisha takeoff

Bhubaneswar: Intra-state flight operations have hit an air pocket with Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) reportedly verbally communicating to regional flier Air Odisha about losing the 'operation manual' details.
In April, the regional flier had submitted the operation manual to the DGCA for an NOC to fly in the state.
"I had personally gone to the DGCA office to follow up the matter. The Flight Standard Department in the DGCA headquarters informed me that the operation manual submitted by us was missing," said Air Odisha founder Santosh Pani.
He said they are yet to be provided with an office at the airport, where their engineers, flight attendants and other crew members will seat.
The state government had set a November deadline for the airline to start operations after signing a contract with it recently. Air Odisha has stationed an aircraft at the Biju Patnaik International Airport but is yet to be provided space in the hangar.
