New Pune-Srinagar flight launched by SpiceJet

Commuters will be able to reach Srinagar within four hours due to a new flight from Pune via Delhi. With SpiceJet having launched a new onward connection. The new flight will be effective from October 25. This new daily flight (no 182) will depart from Pune airport at 7.25 am and reach Srinagar at 12 pm.

Earlier, there were no direct flights to Srinagar and commuters had to change at Delhi or Chandigarh, which took around nine to 10 hours. The new flight will reach Srinagar in four-and-a-half hours. It will facilitate commuters, especially tourists, wanting to visit Kashmir or Leh-Ladakh. It will reach Delhi at 9.30 and depart at 10.20 am, with a stopover for 45 minutes at the Delhi airport. After reaching Srinagar at 12 pm, a return Srinagar to Pune flight will depart at 2.40 pm and reach Pune at 7.10 pm.

Shilpa Bhatia, head of sales and distribution, SpiceJet, said, "We have been constantly growing by consistently adding new flights to enhance our overall network and Pune-Srinagar is one of them. With the new network schedule, we are offering better timings along with increased frequencies. Our new winter flight schedule adds considerable depth to our existing operations, to cater to the growing demand, while enhancing connectivity and boosting customer value. The airline also announced the induction of six new aircrafts to its existing fleet strength in the next 30 days."
