Surtis campaign to boycott IndiGo IPO

Surat: Surtis crusading for the increased air connectivity in the city have started a campaign on social media to boycott the upcoming public issue of IndiGo Airlines, which is to hit the market on October 27.

People have started circulating messages urging the city-based investors not to participate in the IPO as the airline is yet to accept the demand of connecting Surat with other domestic destinations.

In the past, the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGand the We Want Working Airport at Surat (WWWAS) had approached many private airline companies including IndiGo Airlines to begin operations from city. However, none of the airline companies showed their willingness.
