Kolkata: Officials of the city airport on Saturday found USD 9000 and Rs two lakh from the suitcase of a passenger bound for Bangkok.
A passenger can carry a maximum of USD 5000 or its equivalent in any currency, airport officials said.
During routine check, the money was found kept in a yellow packet which was hidden inside a tube in the suitcase of the passenger.
