Mavi Mumbai: Cidco said the the crucial stage II clearance from MoEF would help start work of Ulwe hill-cutting in the core aeronautical area and the tender for the same would be finalized in November.
The largest greenfield airport project in the country, worth around Rs 15,000 crore, cleared the final hurdle in October, paving way for development of the core aeronautical area.
As the forest patch is in the core aeronautical area, the clearance was timely. Joint MD, V Radha said, "The clearance was well-timed, as without it, the development work would have got delayed because of the de-notification.''
