Mysuru: The ISRO chairman’s graduation day address at SJCE here on Saturday was replete with references how nature had inspired many of the designs and innovations in the field of science and technology.
“Engineers in various industries in the world are turning to nature for inspiration as they try to design products with better performance and lower energy consumption,” said A.S. Kiran Kumar.
Some international business houses have already gone ahead with developing machines inspired by nature’s design. In the aviation industry, the A380 design was inspired by the wing tips of Steppe Eagles to maximise life with minimal wingspan.
