Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) continues to be at the bottom of airport air congestion list among the four privately held airports, including Delhi, Bangaluru and Hyderabad.
Most of the domestic airlines operating in India have their worst On-Time Performance (OTP) at CSIA, revealed the latest data by Directorate General of Civil Aviation ( DGCA) for the month of October. CSIA, which is counted among the busiest airports in Asia, is also among the most congested.
National carrier Air India, which has among the worst overall OTP in the domestic aviation sector, scores just 57.5 per cent OTP at CSIA. In comparison, the airline fares better in Hyderabad with 86 per cent, in Delhi with 84.4 per cent and in Bangaluru with 78.8 per cent. Air India's overall average OTP at all the four airports combined stands at 75.5 per cent.
