Surat: Do you remember that 6th November 2014 buffalo hit incident at Surat airport? Well, one year has passed, and Surat airport has drastically improved since that incident which attracted global bad coverage for the airport.
Surat airport started Rs 10 crore works to build 4.3 km long boundary wall post the buffalo his incident. As of now 3 km wall has been constructed. Construction of 2.3 km long parameter road is in final stage. Recarpeting work to strengthen 185 meter portion is in progress. All ongoing and pending works are likely to complete till March 2016 according to airport director Pramod Thackeray.
