Kozhikode: Sixteen Short Service Commission-Pilot cadets of the Indian Navy who successfully completed their training were given farewell at the Indian Naval Academy (INA) at nearby Ezhimala today.
In a stirring ceremony, the Deputy commandant, Rear Admiral M D Suresh and senior officers fixed the naval epaulettes, popularly known as "Stripes", on the shoulders of the trainee officers symbolizing their transformation from "cadets" into full fledged naval officers, a release from INA said today.
