Chennai floods have brought untold misery to travellers over the last few days and airlines are scrambling to bring relief to their stranded passengers. Budget carrier Indigo airlines Chennai flights too have been suspended on account of the disturbances caused by rain and the airline is looking to cater to passengers needs as far as possible.
Since Chennai airport is closed till 12 noon on December 6, Indigo said that in the interest of safety of its guests, crew and aircraft, the airline has cancelled all its flights to and from the city until December 6.
Authorities have had the Chennai airport closed for operations till December 6.
IndiGo said, keeping Chennai floods in mind, it will operate additional flights on December 4 to accommodate passengers coming from Chennai through surface transport.
