Lucknow: Air operations remained disrupted at Amausi airport for the third consecutive day on Monday after foggy weather reduced visibility considerably. As many as a dozen flights were reported late, leaving scores of flyers in the lurch. The disruption in air operations continued till noon after which visibility improved to an extent.
UP chief minister Akhilesh Yadav too had to cancel his visit to Delhi because of inclement weather conditions. Later in the day, he sent chief secretary Alok Ranjan in his place.
Scheduled flights which got affected were those from Delhi, Kolkata and Hyderabad. Jet airways flight 9W-2453, which was scheduled to arrive at around 7 am, landed at 11 am. So was the case with Etihad airways flight EY-8931 from New Delhi which arrived nearly five hours late than its scheduled time of 7 am. Air India flight AI-411 too remained delayed by more than three hours.
