'We Want Working Airport at Surat' (WWWAS) and 'Surat Airport Action Committee' (SAAC) have been demanding increased air connectivity fr-om Surat for a long time now. A series of protest programmes, events and short documentary films have been made to sensitize private airline companies to start operations from Surat.
