This was in response to a set of questions asked by BJP MP Kirit Somaiya, who asked Minister of state (civil aviation) Mahesh Sharma about the progress in development of Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA).
The City Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) — the nodal agency for Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) — had received nine bids Request for Qualifications (RFQs) in June 2015.
"Government of Maharashtra have shortlisted four bidders for the RFP stage. The ministry of home have conveyed security clearance to three out of four bidders," replied Sharma.
