Panaji: The state government is likely to issue a request for proposal (RFP) for the construction of the greenfield airport at Mopa by end of this month.
Chief minister Laxmikant Parsekar said he has received the file containing the RFP and that it would be issued for bidders by the end of December.
"Advocate general Atmaram Nadkarni has sent the file to me with some suggestions. Once those are incorporated, the RFP would be issued," he said.
The state government has also submitted the RFP and details of the concession agreement to the Union ministry of civil aviation for its approval. Government officials said the state will now make a presentation to the screening committee of the ministry of civil aviation to get a nod.
