Two plane mishaps averted in MP

Bhopal: An Air India flight from Delhi -- with 116 aboard -- sustained a vulture hit at approximately 0800 hrs while landing at Raja Bhoj International Airport here, airport sources said. Fortunately, the plane had touched the tarmac when the incident occurred.

A total 53 passengers were on board a flight from Mumbai that suffered a tyre burst at 1930 hrs when the pilot applied the emergency brake after a pig strayed onto the runway at Jabalpur Airport, Superintendent of Police Ashish said.
