3-D filmmaker arrested for bomb hoax calls to airport, railway stn

Pune/Nagpur: A 3D animation film maker from Pune, who claimed to have been ill-treated by the police at Sahar airport recently, was arrested for allegedly calling up the Bhubaneshwar airport early on Saturday, claiming that a bomb had been placed there. The hoax call resulted in the emergency landing of a Bhubaneswar-Mumbai flight at Nagpur airport.
The man also made a similar call to the police control room in Pune, saying that an explosive had been kept at the railway station, the police said.
The accused, Sanjeevkumar Nakul Mishra (35), who lives in Pune but hails from Bhubaneshwar, was arrested on the Pune-Solapur highway.
The police said that they suspect he had made a similar hoax call to the Sahar airport last year too.
Officials of Bhubaneshwar airport received a similar call and a search operation was launched. The Mumbai-bound Go Air flight (G8 243) with 149 passengers and six crew members on board, was delayed by two hours. It took off for Mumbai at 12.22pm after the call turned out to be a hoax.
