Mohali: Taking no chances, the Mohali police virtually sealed around two-kilometres radius of the Mohali airport area, deploying a large posse of policemen here today.
No untoward incident was reported, said Mohali SSP Gurpreet Singh Bhullar.
On the Airport Road from the Mohali side and the Zirakpur side, the police had laid nearly 10 nakas for security purposes. Only those persons were allowed to go towards the airport, who had to aboard flights today.
Patiala range Inspector General Naunihal Singh and Mohali SSP GS Bhullar remained at the airport from morning till evening to supervise all the security arrangements.
